The migration completed successfully and all traffic restored as of 1:36am NZST. WLG-IX now runs on a VXLAN instance. ARP suppression remains disabled due to earlier unexpected behaviour.

Update
An issue has been identified with the FDB requiring a manual re-program of the MAC addresses. A further brief 5 minute outage will be required to resolve this. We apologise for the delay and additional downtime.

Update
The firmware upgrade has completed however migration of the fabric from VPLS to EVPN VXLAN is showing an issue with some ports. Investigation is continuing and a further update will be provided in 15 minutes.

NZIX engineers will be conducting maintenance on WLG-IX which includes firmware upgrades and migrating the Ethernet fabric from VPLS to EVPN VXLAN.
Due to the nature of the maintenance, WLG-IX will be offline during the window.
Expected Downtime: ~30minutes
Member ports at each site will be drained of peering traffic using BCP214-compliant filters and restored once the exchange is back online and verified healthy.
NZIX has spare hardware on standby in the unlikely event a device requires replacing, and rollback procedures are in place for any unexpected behaviour, thus a 4 hour window has been set.
