NZIX Engineers will be remediating a stuck process on the device pe2.akl2 within VDC Albany, which if is unsuccessful may require a device reboot.
Expected downtime: None
Potential downtime:
Stemming from an earlier SNMP triggered process crash which was mitigated with a MIB view, this device is experiencing a 'stuck' process whereby its communication with the process manager has stopped, and to resolve this - at the advice of the vendor, we must restart the process or device.
This should be a simple process restart and no member impact however there is a risk due to the state the process is in. If the process restart is unsuccessful we will have to reboot the device to clear the issue. Should a reboot be required; BCP214 will be applied to all sessions within VDC Albany (pe1.akl2, pe2.akl2) and BGP will be disabled on RS2.AKL to drain traffic before the reboot.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
